Phool Chatti Camp Rishikesh - its a large campsite in total wilderness. Minimal human disturbance. At present it can accommodate over 10 tents and still have a lot of open space.

Witness the thrilling experience of camping in a jungle can be well realized at the Jungle Camp of Phool Chatti Rishikesh. The scenic beauty of the jungles of rishikesh offers a sense of freshness in the life making it more energetic and lively.

Phool Chatti Camp Rishikesh lies at the scenic confluence of the Ganga and Hem rivers in the Himalayan foothills above Rishikesh. Located along an ancient pilgrimage route into the headwaters of the Ganga just 11 kms from luxmanjhula. Phool Chatti Camp Rishikesh accommodation offers bamboo huts & luxury safari tents comes with attached toilets and  are decorated in a simple but comfortable manner for couple or family.

The Accommodation
  • Canvas safari tents, sealed, carpeted with two cots, foam mattress, clean white linen, poly fill quilt and pillow.
  • Tents are big enough for an additional cot.
  • Comfortable tents with cots & mattresses.
  • Neat and hygienic Indian / Western toilets

Meals are served in the dinning tent and have fixed timings. We provide a bottle of potable water per person on complimentary basis. These can be refilled any number of times from the jar of potable water provided in the dinning tent.
Our well equipped base kitchen.
Clean & hygienic dry pit toilets. These are the only type of toilets allowed on the beach camps by the forest department. They comprises of a western style thunder box over a pit. Have a supply of toilet roll and deodorant. Are disinfected with lime after use.
Enough number of toilets. They are supposed to be at a distance from the river in order to avoid the discharge getting into the river.
Separate bathing tents. Bathing tents have supply of running cold water drawn from natural springs. Hot water can be drawn from the traditional hammams.

Things to carry to the Camp
  • Flashlight / Torch Very Important.
  • T Shirts and Shorts For rafting, we recommend quick drying ones.
  • Warm Jacket / Jersey Evenings are cool at the camp
  • Woolen Cap, Warm Clothes - Only for Nov to February months, as it is cold after sunset.
  • Clothes For Change. Carry only the required clothes for change.
  • Footwear 2 pairs. One Sandal/Floater for rafting and one Sneaker/Sports Shoe for camp. No Hard soles please
  • Swimsuit / Trunks You may like to swim in the river.
  • Sunglasses
  • Cap, Hat
  • Cord for Spectacles
  • Protection from sun - Sunscreen Lotion Very Important with higher SPF values.
  • Toiletries Don't forget Soap, Tooth paste and Toothbrush.

  • Travel Light as you have to walk down to the camp with your Bags. Do not carry hard top Luggage Cases.

River Water Grade
Grade 1: Easy, small waves. No obstacles,
Grade 2: Moderate difficulty with clear passages,
Grade 3: Difficult, high irregular waves, narrow passages- require precise maneuvering,
Grade 4: Difficult, powerful waves. Very precise maneuvering required,
Grade 5: Extremely difficult, violent, highly congested.

  • All applicable taxes extra.
  • Rates are charged per person on double occupancy.
  • Rafting stretch would be subject to prevailing river conditions.

Not Included
Transportation at any stage during the trip. Visitors are required to make their own arrangements to come back to the camp from the point of culmination of the rafting. Arrangements if made by us will be charged extra. One can hire a taxi, use public transport or hire a driver. Expenses of personal nature.

Child Policy

  • Children below 5 years are complimentary. No extra bed.
  • Above 5 but less than 10 years- 50% of the rack rate. Includes extra bed. No rafting.
  • Above 10 but less than 14 - 75% of the rack rate. Includes extra bed.
  • Above 14 are considered as adults. Please carry any valid document to establish Date of Birth.

Cancellation Policy

  • 15 days prior to the date of arrival: Full refund
  • 7 days prior to the date of arrival: 50% refund or full adjustment against future booking
  • Thereafter: Adjustment against future booking
  • No show: No refund. No adjustment

At our camps it has always been our endeavor to provide our visitors the best in terms of safety and comfort. It gives us immense pleasure to say that we enjoy an impeccable safety record. All activities are conducted under strict supervision of trained and experienced staff. We posses requite license and permits from the competent authorities for camping and conducting the adventure activities. We use top of the line self bailing rafts and other accessories that comply with the guidelines issued by the licensing authorities. Having said that, the visitors need to know that, in adventure sports risk factors can only be minimized but can not be completely ruled out.

  • Not to take footwear inside the tents. Removing the sand from the carpet inside the tents is difficult.
  • Not to consume eatables inside the tents. Spills attract insects and pests.
  • Respect other residents. Your acts and deeds should not cause inconvenience to fellow residents.
  • Follow meal timings.
  • Wear appropriate attire.
  • Please do not litter. Dispose biodegradable & non biodegradable wastes in appropriate bins.
  • Leave behind nothing except footprints. As responsible citizen try and leave the place cleaner than as you found it.
  • Carefully dispose cigarette buds and matchsticks. Take special care in the forest area as they are the major cause of forest fires.
  • You are welcome to take pictures as memorabilia. Taking away of cuttings, seeds, roots, stones etc is prohibited.
  • Do not feed, chase or tease animals.
  • Use of detergents, soap, brushing and spitting, disposal of wastes in the river is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not go too close to the river and after sunset. Stones are slippery and depth deceptive.
  • Do not take the kerosene lamps inside the tents. The fumes are poisonous and potential fire hazard.
  • Use candles inside the tents only when required. Do not forget to put them off before going out or sleeping.
  • Keep the tents zipped, else you might let in insects and pests.
  • Carrying of arm/s in the forest area is strictly prohibited.
  • Follow instructions as and when given.
  • Please note no booking has been made yet. Arrangements are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. Booking is considered as confirmed only against advance.
    In case the number of visitors exceed minimum guarantee, accommodation will be provided subject to availability.
  • Minimum guarantee is payable in case of "Now Show".
  • Accommodation is on twin occupancy, unless advised otherwise.
  • In compliance with the safety norms white water rafting is not allowed for children below the age of 14 years. However depending on the physical capability of the children, a fun trip can be considered for children in age group of 10-14 years.
  • Visitors are required to sign a disclaimer / liability waiver form on arrival. Please carry a proof of identity.
  • Anybody found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, medically or physically unfit (any serious ailment, weak heart conditions epilepsy, expecting mothers etc) unfit for any reason/s in the wisdom of the river guide/instructor will not be allowed the rafting trip or undertake any other adventure activities. Request for a refund or a discount in such circumstance/s will not be entertained. Decision of the river guide / management in this regard would be final.
  • Bulky clothes, saree, necktie, long skirts, suits are not permitted. Shorts, T-shirt preferably of synthetic material, floaters / sandals, sun glasses with strings are recommended.
  • Guests are expected to adhere to meal and rafting timings
  • Visitors are advised to travel light as they would be required to carry their own luggage down and up from the beach camp.
  • Avoid carrying jewelry and valuables.
  • The beach and the camp facilities are exclusively for the resident guests. Drivers are required to make their own boarding and lodging arrangements.

    • No intake of alcohol at least six hours prior to any adventure activity.
    • Going for a swim/ kayaking without life jackets is not permitted.
    • Swimming/kayaking has to be done under the supervision of a professional instructor.
    • Swimming too far out from the ganga beach is not permitted. Fast currents can take you swiftly downstream.
    • While rafting: Non-swimmers may be restricted to certain sections of the river on the advice of the river guide/trip leader.
    • Life jackets and helmets are a must for all our guests and guide.

International Scale of River Difficulty
The International Scale of River Difficulty is a standardized scale used to rate the safety of a stretch of river, or a single rapid. The grade reflects the technical difficulty, skill level required and danger associated with the section of river.

Grade I: Small, easy waves; mainly flat water.
Grade II: Mainly clear passages; some areas of difficulty.
Grade III: Difficult passages; narrow in places and with high waves.
Grade IV: Very difficult, narrow and requiring precise maneuvering.
Grade V: Extremely difficult. Very fast-flowing waters which can be maneuvered only by experts
Grade VI: For all practical purposes, unmanageable- even suicidal.
